History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. When Nurkara reached her early adolescence her Dwarf father passed away. History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Spear was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Spear's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Tomph was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
