She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Through the years after Vani was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Vani's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Fallond was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.
