History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Through the years after Kilia was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Kilia's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. In her 15th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.
