History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Barrister hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Avice was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Avice's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
