She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was granted necromantic powers by her dying brother.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Alston was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying west to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Sekhmet is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She now mingles about in high society.

History: Born to a Locksmith, her father struggled to pay the bills. A freak accident while working with her Locksmith father left her crippled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
