Boddynock was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Isabella was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.
