History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: Edge was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was taken from his home at a very young age. History: Gifted from a young age, Thervan studied abroad. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
