History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Description: An older man who is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time, he is not a threatening figure. He has styled his blonde hair well, parting it to the right. His thin eyebrows rest above his beady blue eyes.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Anselm was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Anselm never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She worked as a nervous Cartwright and found it very stressful. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Description: He is a husky man, who is wearing a long, grey, dusty cloak. His red hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 38. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aldous grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aldous. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac.
