History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Vanchu was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Vanchu's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
