Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Balam and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Don was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. The war was a terrible time for her, and Verin does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. When Verin reached her early adolescence her Tiefling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions.
