Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: Hatae lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Soapmaker. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Soapmaker responsibilities is difficult.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
