History: Gerard hails from a village terrorized by orcs. At a young age his father died while driving off some orcs. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in sai use. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
