History: Meriele lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Cairn was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Gardener work with an outfit from a few towns over.
