He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a Ploughman, his father struggled to pay the bills. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Crown-heir work with an outfit from a few towns over. Crown-heir work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has achieved small success as a Crown-heir.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
