Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Althaea was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.
