Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Hugh was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. The war was a terrible time for him, and Vanuath does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Vanuath was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Knight. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
