He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. After a long history of fighting, Peren and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Zanna grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and she desires power and/or immortality

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. She is a bit of a macho woman and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: She was born into a rich family. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
