Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a tea of some kind. He dresses in grey turtlenecks beneath a white coat with tan slacks, marred by teas. His moppish brown hair is in a traditional bowl cut. His eyes are brown.
Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Guard business.
History: He was born in the east. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Gerald alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Gerald was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Bowyer. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.
History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bowyer. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.
Motivation: To be a Mercenary again; and expand his business

Description: He is a physically imposing light-skinned man. He typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep white leather and dull grey iron scale mail. His hair is short and chestnut. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines amber.
Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. He is seen as merciless and passionate.
History: Nelkin was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Nelkin was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Nelkin decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Dilettante kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: Seeks redemption; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Description: He is of a modest build and height, but he carries himself more imposing than he is. He likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His hair is chestnut and curly. He wears an eyepatch.
Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Oskar's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.
History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Oskar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
