His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, John is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Baelitae was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shortspear.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Thakrak was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
