History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Shifting grew up listening to his father's many stories. His divine abilities were realized during a raid on his village. Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Born in the east to a Guard, Aust learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Guard work with an outfit from a few towns over. Guard work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He struck the Guard job and began his own company from there.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Elaim isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Dwarven unity. He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Elaim lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the south; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
