History: She was born into a rich family. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Lerissa alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
