Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Valanthe was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Broce lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Merchant, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
