To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Dara. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He worked as a nervous Server and found it very stressful. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
