History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Detective responsibilities is difficult; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature dagger.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.
