He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now mingles about in high society.

His hair is long and silver with streaks of brown, and is pulled back with small brown clips. His beard is brown, braided, and well cared for. His brown eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Thorin is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Thorin was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town.
