History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Rael grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Symma was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.
