She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Berrian was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Scribe. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Born to a Shoemaker, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: She is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now mingles about in high society.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
