History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Patrin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Patrin. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Merihim was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
