History: Ellywick hails from a village terrorized by orcs. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Varis was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Cleric, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Cleric in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: Hadwisa hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Hadwisa was born the youngest of three triplets. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Forcas was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day; and a rival would like him out of the picture
