History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Avice was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Randal was born with his mother's beautiful face. A freak accident while working with his Armorer mother left him crippled. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
