Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Heward's homeland. Heward decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and many illithids want him driven away

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded.
