Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Apothecary hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world.

He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.
