His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bookbinder arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Arannis was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Her parents enrolled her in a Barbarian school at a young age so that she could practice her druidic talents.
