The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Hadarai took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up axe and armor he uses now. History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
