History: He was raised in a forest tribe. At some point he was captured by brigands and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Elven people; and a deep hatred of brigands

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Engraver work with an outfit from a few towns over. Engraver work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
