Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When Bella reached her early adolescence her Halfling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Verin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gifted student she started as a Barber, but she got bored and became a Glassblower. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Verin never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
