History: Skak was born with his father's beautiful face. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Avice alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. She is ready at a moment's notice to give into her darker urges. She is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. She often ends up burning people alive in the fires she starts.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and she will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact

Personality: The man has a huge range of feeling. He will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how he will be a better person from this day on. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He found a children's book about a Half-Elf Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he desires power and/or immortality

Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. A gifted student she started as a Spy, but she got bored and became a Gardener. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Gardener.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and to end her boredom

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions.
