History: Phelaia was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Map Maker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Map Maker work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting illithids, the young Thiala began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Thiala was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Through the years after Azaki was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Azaki's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Azaki and his spouse have recently divorced.
