History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His first spouse was a Spice Merchant, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She's also a talented Bellfounder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Sarai was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Sarai decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
