History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Barakas was a troubled youth. Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with her Carpenter father left her crippled. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
