Personality: Volen speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her father. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Volen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands.
