History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. After a long history of fighting, Breena and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A freak accident while working with his Carpenter mother left him crippled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Calcitro was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Courier, but he got bored and became a Cook. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
