History: Sekhmet was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Tiefling Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Hunter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her mother. A freak accident while working with her Sage mother left her crippled. After a long history of fighting, Murook and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing poetry.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Bathin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
