Personality: Kava hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Verin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

History: Murook was born the youngest of three triplets. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. After a long history of fighting, Murook and her spouse have recently divorced.
