History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Biri and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Malmûg was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
