His brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Roland's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: Kava lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered east to less war torn lands.
