History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Az-Rans was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Sage. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: 4'5" and muscular, this western man wears a brown cloak and cross-gartered red stockings. His deerstalker hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are amber.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Duergath is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Duergath was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Duergath was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Duergath decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
