History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and to reunite with his old friends

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

During his travels, Raymond and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Raymond discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Raymond fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
