Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Percival's homeland. Percival decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Gilbert's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of gnolls may trigger it at times.

History: Gilbert was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere.
