History: Born in the north to a Layabout, Sarah learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Layabout. She has taken up work as a Layabout and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

History: Nim lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Barrister and was forced into it by his family.

History: Born in the north to a Laborer, Alex learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a Laborer soon after.
